The Beginning of an End

Hello Everybody! This is my attempt at making a blog. I think the colors are hideous, but oh well. Oh yeah, for those of you that don't know, my name is Mark. I am currently a student at Oregon State University. I wanted to start a blog detailing my, as my friend called it, "foray into medicine." This is it. I have just finished the application process and have been accepted to two schools, Des Moines University and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Both of the schools are osteopathic medical schools (click here if you are wondering what osteopathic medicine is).

I had my last interview at Oregon Health and Sciences University last week. I pray and hope that I have the opportunity to attend that school. My ultimate desire on this perilous path of medicine is to be come a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon...I think. So, in the meantime, over the next ten years (this is a very lofty goal) I will try to chronicle my trials and tribulations on my path to doctordom! I will also include, aside from my trials and tribulations, posts on things I find interesting in the world of medicine, tips for the MCAT (not that I have any really good ones), and any other sundry pieces of information.

I do hope you enjoy this blog, and I do hope I update it with some varying degree of frequency, but I cannot make any promises. Enjoy!
